Soil Health Education Opportunity for Cotton Growers

Soil Health Institute to host webinars for cotton growers.

Cotton growing in the field.

In the coming weeks the Soil Health Institute will host a series of webinars on cotton production. Soil health educator, Jessica Kelton, explained the two different webinar series they will offer.

“One is going to focus on economics and the other one’s going to focus really on cover crops, but not just cover crops for soil health, but how cover crops can also help with weed suppression. We hope that growers can use these webinars and the fact sheets that are kind of aligned with being released around the same time as our webinars as resources and then decision support tools if they’re considering adopting sole health management practices.” said Kelton.

She shared that the goal of these webinars is to provide growers with some additional resources when it comes to making a decision on implementing these practices.

The two webinars covering economics will take place November 16th and November 30th at 12 PM Eastern. Webinars on weed suppression will be held sometime in December.
