Efforts continue to bridge the gap in healthcare between urban and rural communities

The calls continue for Washington to address the healthcare gap between urban and rural America.
A recent study found that 65% of rural communities lacked access to primary care last year, including pediatricians.

Carrie Cochran-McClain with the National Rural Health Association spoke with RFD-TV’s own Suzanne Alexander on why there is such a gap in healthcare, the shortage in rural hospitals, and what needs to happen to bridge the gap.
