With CFAP application underway, some farmers are being denied payments as they still have grain from 2018 in storage.
RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison speaks with ag CPA Paul Neiffer on what is causing farmers to be denied. In 2018, it was a bad year for grain in terms of quality, but 2019 was a better year, so farmers sold the 2019 grain and left the previous year’s grain still in storage.
Neiffer says that the FSA offices are looking at the elevator receipts and determining that the 2019 crop was sold and there was no inventory on hand, just 2018 inventory, thus denying the payment request.
