Try a steakhouse classic at home. Garlic-rubbed Beef Tenderloin Steaks are topped with creamy blue cheese sauce.

Servings: 4
Prep Time: 30 minutes (15 minutes active)
Cook Time: 15-20 minutes (plus resting time)
Total Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 Beef Tenderloin Steaks (about 1 lb., 1" thick), at room temperature
  • 1 large clove of garlic (halved)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper or white pepper
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh Italian parsley, finely chopped
  • Creamy Blue Cheese Sauce:

    • 4 teaspoons of crumbled blue cheese
    • 4 teaspoons of plain yogurt
    • 2 Tablespoons of cream cheese
    • 2 teaspoons of minced onion
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • For Garnish: 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Remove the beef tenderloin steaks from the fridge, rub with garlic, and season with salt and pepper. Set the steaks aside for 20-30 minutes to bring them to room temperature.
  2. Combine the ingredients for the Creamy Blue Cheese Sauce in a small bowl. Set aside. Preheat your oven’s broiler on low.
  3. Place the steaks on a rack in a broiler pan so the surface of the meat is 2-3 inches away from the heat source.
  4. Broil the steaks for 13-16 minutes for medium rare (140-145ºF). Let rest for at least five minutes. About 1-2 minutes before serving, evenly top each steak with some of the creamy blue cheese sauce.
  5. Before serving, sprinkle with salt and chopped parsley.
