After harvesting grain, farmers face the decision of selling it right away or storing it to obtain better prices later in the season. A new study explores those decisions and why the cost-benefit may differ across farms.
University of Illinois Extension Specialist Joe Janzen joined RFD-TV’s Suzanne Alexander for background on the study, what the main factors in play are when farmers are making the decisions, and if there are any economic trends that typically sway the decisions.
