Cold storage facilities near capacity in the U.S.

Cold storage facilities for American meat are nearing capacity.

The exports are intended for markets hit by the coronavirus outbreak. Pork, chicken and beef storage quantities have risen 10 percent in the last month.

Chinese ports remain backed up but transportation is starting to normalize, which could be good news for U.S. cold storage since China has lost half of its pigs in the last year because of African Swine Fever.
