Federal court halts last-minute biofuel waivers

A short time ago, a federal court halted the last-minute biofuel waivers granted by the Trump era.

The Renewable Fuels Association filed an emergency motion Tuesday night asking a judge to stop the refiner petitions from going into effect.

The order also prevents EPA from further processing small refinery exemptions until the court has time to consider the emergency motion.

The EPA has until February 3rd to respond.
