Port authorities are slowly but surely making a dent in the backlog of container ships on the west coast.
One week ago the number of ships waiting to unload hit 106, the second-highest number we have seen since we started reporting the problems.
This week crews cleared fifteen ships, but just before Christmas, even more were waiting to unload.
It came after the Biden administration announced a plan to keep the Port of Los Angeles open 24-hours a day. The congestion has only mounted since then.
