HPAI limiting Easter egg supplies this Easter

The outbreaks of high path avian flu could cause your Easter egg supplies to be limited.

CoBank analysts point to USDA’s weekly report on shell egg demand, showing an inventory of five days. They say that is tight, but not abnormally tight.

Still, some supplies will not make up for the 11 million laying hens already killed.

The report also says that it is hard to forecast the expected losses because there are new cases almost every day.
