The Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant is killing two birds with one stone, as the record drought continues on.
The plant is working on a project that will conserve drinking water and help farmers. This project is ten years in the making and is finally in the final design stages.
Wastewater will be filtered and then potentially reused for farming purposes. The public can start touring the facility next month and collect recycled water for free.
