Saturday, the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association, Beef Industry, and governor hosted their 40th annual Iowa Governor’s Charity Steer Show. Proceeds from the event go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Iowa.
Last year, the show brought in $375,000 dollars, at the time the most in the show’s history. However, this year they blew right past it. Thanks to local supporters and cattle producers they were able to raise $440,000 dollars. Since the show began in 1983, they have raised more than $5 million dollars for charity.
