Strain of HPAI hits Arkansas, a key southern-producing region

More than 47 million birds have been killed so far due to high path avian flu, and we could soon break a seven-year-old record.

Just recently, a highly lethal strain hit a commercial flock of breeding chickens in Arkansas, a key area in the southern producing region.

Arkansas Secretary of Ag, Wes Ward spoke with RFD-TV’s own Suzanne Alexander on the latest outbreak, how it compares to 2015, and protocols to keep in mind moving forward.
