Sweet Potatoes
Anna Rhinewalt, a sweet potato and soybean farmer from Sandy Ridge Farm in Senatobia, Mississippi, is being recognized for her positive contributions to her local and state agricultural communities.
Oversupply of sweet potatoes has been an issue lately, but thanks to a smaller crop last year, they were able to clear out some inventory.
After conditions ruined Louisiana’s sweet potato crop last year, producers have managed to harvest a good haul this year. Louisiana State University Ag Center’s Craig Gautreaux has this report from northern Louisiana.
