Texas Farm Bureau offers an update on conditions amid the Smokehouse Creek Fire

The largest wildfire in Texas history is causing catastrophic losses across the panhandle, where more than 85 percent of the state’s cattle population is located.
It is burning nearly 1,700 square miles of land and devastated seven grain and seed operations.

The State of Texas Agriculture Relief Fund is open for donations for affected farmers and ranchers.

President of the Texas Farm Bureau, Russel Boening spoke with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on the impact on cattle producers, ripple effects moving forward, and relief efforts.
