American Pecan Council chimes in on the “Great Pecan Debate”

As speculation looms over the presidential election, another debate is taking over the country. The American Pecan Council launched the “Pea-can v/s Puh-con Debate” to settle the age-old question of how the word is pronounced.

The Council’s Executive Director, Alex Ott spoke with RFD-TV News on the thought process behind the initiative and where he stands on the debate.

He states that election year was the reason why they decided to take the debate nationwide and that he is independent on the pronunciation of the nut, just as long as you eat them.
