The Court of International Trade Has Confirmed Mexican Tomato Dumping

The Court of International Trade confirms that Mexico is dumping tomatoes into the U.S. at high margins, some as much as 273%.

The Department of Commerce will end a 2019 suspension agreement in July, imposing a 21% duty on Mexican tomatoes. While some support the move, others warn it could drive up prices next season.

They say that the real impact will be felt as U.S. tomato production continues to shrink.
