The Cowboy Channel Adds to Programming Lineup

PBR’s 20/20 Premieres on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at 7 p.m. ET

(NASHVILLE, TENN. — August 7, 2017) Western sports fans can now watch some of the greatest moments in bull riding history with “PBR 20/20” beginning Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at 7 p.m. ET. This new three-hour series will air the newly launched The Cowboy Channel, as part of the 20-year celebration commemorating PBR’s innovation and unprecedented growth since the 20 founders voted to form the organization and established pro bull riding as a standalone sport.

August 29, 2017, at 7 p.m. ET
7:00 – 8:30 p.m. ET Fort Worth 2002: Ten 90-plus-point rides; Lee Akin vs Perfect Storm for 94.5 points; Jim Sharp vs. Promise Land for 94 points; Jim Sharp rides Dillinger for $85k bonus, and scores 95.5 points.
8:30 – 10:00 p.m. ET Anaheim 1998: Troy Dunn vs. White Water Skoal for 92.5 points; Brian Herman vs. Trick or Treat for 92.5 points.

Much of this reverential footage has gone unseen, even by the riders and contractors, since it originally aired. This is an opportunity for new fans and longtime supporters to celebrate the remarkable history of an extraordinary time in PBR’s past.

The Cowboy Channel launched earlier this summer on July 1st shifting from the classic TV lineup of nostalgic and popular comedy sitcoms to focus on Western sports and everything that encompasses the popular western lifestyle.
