A soft drink giant could give a boost to the grains complex.
Coca-Cola is testing out a greater role in the alcoholic beverage industry. It already has one toe dipped in the water, partnering with Molson Coors for a hard seltzer, but the big trend now is ready-to-drink cocktails.
“When you look into consumer trends, this is a very interesting space for us as consumers are clearly moving into that space. We see a lot of potentials. We are still learning,” Manuel Arroyo, the company’s global chief merchandising officer.
That category is expected to grow about 13 percent a year through 2030.
