The Great Plains Grasslands are shrinking as invasive trees threaten forage for livestock and increase the risk of wildfires.
Efforts are underway to help landowners address woody encroachment.
Dr. Dirac Twidwell with UNL Department of Agronomy and Horticulture spoke with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on why this is a big issue for Nebraska, strategies for addressing woody encroachment, and their work with NRCS.
