A majority of cranberry growers last year voted in favor of dropping the marketing order for the crop, and USDA has listened.
Around 80 percent of growers opposed the continuation of the marketing order, and USDA’s Ag Marketing Service has officially terminated it. The regulations impacted growers in areas of New England, as well as the Pacific Northwest, like Oregon and Washington.
