The Protecting American Farmlands Act is looking to address a growing crisis in farmland retention

Senator Mitch McConnell has introduced legislation to address the decline in available farmland. It aims to ensure retiring farmers can transition their operation to the next generation while preserving land for ag use.

Ericka King with the Kentucky Farm Bureau spoke with RFD-TV’s own Suzanne Alexander on the Protecting American Farmlands Act, contributing factors to the decreasing amount of farmland, and the next steps.
