In the latest U.S. Drought Monitor, we saw that conditions in the Florida Panhandle have taken a turn for the worse.
The entire state is almost covered in drought, with producers facing abnormal to extreme conditions. It is taking a toll on crops and other vegetation, and ongoing wildfires are partially to blame.
A county fire rescue in the state shared this video on how their brush truck crews are working to cut down that stress for farmers this season. They go around to hot spots in their county and spray water to prevent flare ups.
According to the Florida Forest Service, there are ten active fires currently across the state.
