This year’s fall fruit production is a mixed bag

There should be plenty of fall fruits to go around this year. Several states are reporting large rebounds after some less-than-ideal production years.

Grapes this year are looking to be up around 8 percent. California is looking at a year-over-year production increase. Peaches are also thriving in the Golden State, with a 22 percent increases, which is the largest jump since 2017. Georgia and South Carolina peach crops are also on the rebound after freeze events last year.

Pears, however, are seeing the lowest numbers since 2007.
