Thousands of chickens killed in Nebraska fire

Thousands of chickens were killed in a large processing plant fire in northeast Nebraska Thursday.

According to KETV, the fire was seen for miles and the smoke was detectable on the National Weather Service radar.

The fire began at around 5 p.m. and six different departments helped put out the blaze. No people were injured.

The facility is owned by Minnesota-based Michael Foods.
