The cause of one of South Carolina’s recent wildfires has been determined.
State forestry officials have arrested three teenagers on charges related to starting the 13,000-acre Table Rock Fire. Arrest warrants state that the three were smoking cigarettes on a hiking trail in a state park.
Crews have brought that fire under significant control. It is now 68% contained.
South Carolina’s Persimmon Ridge Fire is 74% contained. The state has lifted all evacuation orders and burn bans.
