Cade Jenlink, President of Timberlake, OK FFA, tells RFD-TV about his chapter’s involvement with the local Veteran’s Club and community.
This Oklahoma FFA chapter partners with the local Veteran’s club to raise funds through yearly flag sales. “Operation Old Glory”, as the chapter calls it, raises funds to help with the costs of flag blankets that are sent to veterans all across the world.
Not only does Timberlake FFA raise funds for their local veteran’s club, they also hold a special “Kiss a Farm Animal” campaign during National FFA Week (observed in February). Four prominent members of the school (teachers, school board members, superintendents, etc.) are voted on by the student population and the “winner” has to kiss a farm animal. This year, Jenlink tells us that the school’s Superintendent earned the most money and kissed a goat.
