Universal Music will issue Songwriter, a collection of unreleased recordings that Johnny Cash demo-ed in the 1990s on June 28th, 2024.

Cash passed away more than 20 years ago and is known for his hits, “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Sunday Morning Coming Down,” and “I Walk The Line.”

Two of the songs, “Drive On” and “Like a Soldier” are the only self-written songs that were re-recorded and released in any form, according to Variety. However, all 11 songs were created from unheard demos that were found by his son, John Carter Cash, who worked with musicians to bring them to life.

You can pre-order the album HERE.
