The Cattle Contracts Library pilot is officially online.
Earlier today, USDA opened the library on the Ag Marketing Service webpage with the hope it creates a more fair and balanced market.
It includes new disclosure to the industry and the public about key terms, conditions, and volumes for contracts. The hope is that cattle producers will be more empowered to negotiate better terms, more carefully monitor risks, and take advantage of better market opportunities.
