The final Hogs and Pigs report of the year could show the smallest December 1st hog herd in five years, according to Allendale’s pre-report estimates, which also predicts the smallest December breeding herd in seven years.
A Livestock Economist from the University of Missouri says this report will set the stage for 2023 and hopes to see some type of expansion.
USDA will also release the Cattle on Feed on Friday.
