Year-in and year-out, tiny Cordele, GA is named Watermelon Capitol of the World for the sweetness and volume of watermelon that flows from there – there’s even a giant state of a watermelon slice to welcome visitors – along with a giant, decommissioned Titan missile that’s visible from the interstate and draws travelers from all over as they pass on Interstate 75.
