Virginia state vet weighs in on HPAI spreading into the state

Highly pathogenic avian influenza is spreading. Wild birds in two Virginia counties recently tested positive. Officials say that the cases are not unexpected after discoveries were made in North and South Carolina earlier this month.

Virginia state vet, Dr. Charlie Broaddus spoke with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison on the threat it poses to ag, the risk to poultry producers, and preventative measures producers can take.
