A strong finish, after a rocky start: packing plants coming back after COVID complications

After battling outbreaks and closures, packing plants are finding new ways to keep their supplies going and workers safe amid the pandemic climate.

Dr. Katierose McCullough, the Director of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs for NAMI, speaks with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison on plants’ response to COVID and the contributing factors on the decreasing infection rate.

According to Dr. McCullough, “We are over five times lower than we were in the spring, and that’s a testament to the amount of control inside these packing plants that have been proven to be effective to slow or stop the spread of COVID-19 in plants... they fought back to get this virus under control across the industry.”
