A win for Bayer after three consecutive losses in Round Up lawsuits.
An appeals court deemed the glyphosate warning label required by the state of California, unconstitutional.
The label outlined the chemical’s potential as a human carcinogen. However, the judge ruled the Golden State has less burdensome ways to convey its message.
Several commodity groups challenged the label. The National Association of Wheat Growers said, “We knew we had a strong case, and the decisions were based on the facts and science surrounding the safety of the product.”
Bayer says that it is pleased with the ruling.
