AFBF economist on revised COVID relief

USDA is establishing a new pandemic relief program after identifying gaps in previous aid. It frees up funding that was temporarily frozen and includes farmers and ranchers who previously did not qualify.

American Farm Bureau Economist, Michael Nepveux speaks with RFD-TV on how we got here, what we know about the new program, and if there was anything left out.

“First, the producers of the 2020 price trigger crops and flat rate crops... are eligible to receive a payment of $20 dollars per acre of that crop. That is expected to total around $4.5 billion dollars...,” Nepveuz states.
