Two dozen ag and food groups say a Section 301 investigation of Mexico would harm American farmers.
The investigation was requested by Senator Marco Rubio out of Florida and other lawmakers after a recent flood of Mexican ag products into the U.S.
The ag group wrote a letter to Trade Rep Katherine Tai.
They say the investigation would undermine our relationship with Mexico and jeopardize a critical market for ag exports.
On the flip side, the Florida Tomato Exchange is one ag group supporting the investigation.
Mexico is one of America’s largest trading partners.
