While visiting the bucking horses of the award-winning Frontier Rodeo Company, the PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year for the past five years, we met Big Lady.
She’s a beautiful buckskin mare that exudes a sweet temperament, and she seemed right at home at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Ranch and Arena, where she’s been vacationing before her performance at RFD-TV’s The American Semi-Finals.
As we watched her enjoy her breakfast, she appeared gentle and even friendly, socializing with the other horses while nonchalantly nibbling at her food. You would never know this was the same horse that Wyatt Casper (currently No. 1 in the PRCA World Standings) rode for 87.5 points at the 2020 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.

But the two tattered NFR patches that remain displayed on her hind quarters suggest that Big Lady is one fierce competitor, and Frontier Rodeo Company’s Preston Kafka, who spends every day looking after these horses, says she is definitely one to watch.
Last year, Big Lady took Trey Moore III to 85.5 points in Spanish Fork, Zach Hibler went 88.5 on her at the Cody Stampede, and Tilden Hooper rode her for 85.5 points in Corpus Christi. She even bucked Jade Taton at the Dodge City Roundup Rodeo.
