Arizona Farm Bureau president on the importance of the rural vote

As Election Day nears, ag leaders are highlighting the importance of the rural vote and the main issues facing the industry.

Stefanie Smallhouse, the president of the Arizona Farm Bureau, speaks with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison on how things in her state are looking ahead of the election, the issues that are important to rural Arizona, ballot initiatives, and the importance of the rural vote.

“Everyone, absolutely everyone, living outside these big cities, they need to get out and vote and be heard. I tell people, ‘let’s not forget it’s the folks in these rural areas that do the hard work of feeding and clothing the cities, our farms clean the air, our ranches harvest the water, our forests and minds build the cities, and our crops and drills fuel the nation. So our voice absolutely matters,’” Smallhouse states.
