As technology improves, dairy farmers become more sustainable, according to a report

Agriculture technology is ever-changing and it is why several big dairy groups wanted to study how those advancements have impacted farmers, cows, and consumers.

The National Milk Producers Federation and Dairy Farmers of America conducted the study alongside the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. They found dairy farmers have become more sustainable as advancements in technology and genetics improved, showing U.S. milk production has increased nearly 20 percent since 2007 despite fewer cows.

They attribute the gains to more knowledge sharing through online resources, genetic selection, and access to more readily available peer data.
