Besides growing and raising just about everything on their three-acre allotment, it’s important to Nu Sunrise Farms owners, James and Tammy Weeks, that literally nothing goes to waste.

We know American farmers play a vital role in producing our food and fiber, but Georgia Farm Monitor highlights one operation in the state producing even more –- and hoping to inspire others.

‘Nu Sunrise Farms in Spaulding is a member of Georgia Grown, which is an organization that brings, producers, processors, suppliers, retailers, and consumers together.

Besides growing and raising just about everything on their three-acre allotment, it’s important to owners, James and Tammy Weeks, that literally nothing goes to waste. They either sell or repurpose everything produced -- from turning excess goat milk into soaps or repurposing manure into compost to use in their gardens.
