Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s are giving their hourly retail, distribution and manufacturing team bonuses for their hard work during the coronavirus pandemic.

The bonuses are between $250 and $1,000 depending on the job and how long the employee has been with the company.

Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris said he was “deeply proud” of the Bass Pro team as they have been continually worked hard as more Americans turned to outdoor activities.

“It is difficult to put into words how deeply proud we are of all our dedicated team members who have worked tirelessly on the frontlines throughout this pandemic, showing up every day to take care of our customers,” Morris said. “They have done an absolutely remarkable job to help our customers get back to nature safely and responsibly by serving them in our stores, fulfilling orders in our distribution centers and building the very best boats and kayaks.

Bass Pro Shops is hiring an additional 5,000 employees to keep up with the demand for hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, and boating equipment.
