Bickering Over Budgets: Issues could delay Farm Bill passing

Bickering over budgets could impact the ability of Congress to get this year’s Farm Bill done on time.

Nebraska Congressman Mike Flood tells Brownfield Ag News the House needs to negotiate 12 appropriations bills before the budget is set. Flood says things fell apart before the August recess and he does not think the Farm Bill will pass by the September 30th deadline, with SNAP funding being a major issue. He confirms House Speaker McCarthy is working with those who have concerns on the Republican side.
