Biofuel groups want a hearing over EPA’s proposed renewable fuel volumes

EPA’s recent boost in biofuel blends has renewable fuel groups asking for in-person public hearings.

The government agency is planning on hosting two virtual hearings on the latest multi-year renewable fuel standard proposal. However, the CEO of Growth Energy recently sent a letter requesting an in-person hearing somewhere in the Midwest. This is mainly because the proposal largely affects companies in that region.

EPA proposed growing the total of biofuels to reach more than 2 million gallons between 2023 and 2025.
