BLM furthers efforts in wind and solar projects on federal lands

The Bureau of Land Management is furthering its efforts in the wind and solar projects.

There has been an increased interest in renewable energy projects on public lands in southern Idaho and across the west.
In response, the bureau is adding steps to their application to increase public outreach and speed up the process.

The bureau is also looking into utility-scale solar development in Montana as part of a joint effort with the White House to use federal land to mitigate climate change.
