BLM wants to add five states to its Western Solar Plan

The Bureau of Land Management is looking for public input on the solar energy program.

The BLM wants to update its 2012 Western Solar Plan which impacts Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah. The group hopes to add Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.

BLM will hold a meeting on January 18th in Sacramento to get feedback on the environmental impact.

The public comment period will remain open for fifteen days following the last public meeting or until February 6th, whichever is later.
