“Bonnie and Clyde” actor Michael J. Pollard dies at 80

Award winning actor Michael J. Pollard has died at the age of 80.

His friend, director Rob Zombie, shared the news on Facebook Friday morning.

“We have lost another member of our HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES family. I woke up to the news that Michael J. Pollard had died. I have always loved his work and his truly unique on screen presence,” Zombie Wrote. “He was one of the first actors I knew I had to work with as soon as I got my first film off the ground. He will be missed.”

Pollard began his acting career in the 1950s with roles in “Star Trek” and “Lost in Space” and became well known after his performance in “Bonnie and Clyde” in 1967, which got him an Oscar nomination.

Pollard would go on to have dozens of film roles 1968 and 2003.
