NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV) The Calgary Stampede is underway this week, and the start of Pool B was a pool for sure as the weather took a drastic turn. The mud didn’t appear to have any negative effect on these athletes, however. Matt Shiozawa took the win in tie-down roping. Bray Armes got down and dirty to take the win in steer wrestling. Defending champion Steven Peebles had a picture perfect bareback ride, and the judges agreed on giving him the win. Jacobs Crawley got 86.5 in saddle bronc riding, giving the round to the 2015 champ. In ladies barrel racing, Lisa Lockhart, who has won Canada 4 times, checked in at 17.368 seconds. Finally, J.B. Mauney rode Outlaw Buckers’ “Bombshell,” and the $7 million, 2 time PBR champion, 2 time Calgary Stampede champion did it again for 88 points.
Stay tuned as we continue to cover this event.
