Cattle semi rollover in Missouri delays traffic for hours

Joplin, Missouri Fire Department was called to a rollover crash early Wednesday morning, KSN News reports.

The crash caused all westbound lanes of the road to be closed.

The truck was carrying 109 head of cattle, and five had already escaped the truck before authorities arrived.

Those that were free were caught by cowboys on horseback near a Cracker Barrel.

A veterinarian was called upon the scene and a team from the Joplin Stockyards are arriving with trailers and cowboys on horseback.

According to local reports, the semi hydroplaned along the wet roadway causing the accident.
