Celebrating the legacy of Barry Flinchbaugh, an ag policy icon

Today we celebrate the life and legacy of ag policy icon, Barry Flinchbaugh.

He passed away yesterday at the age of 78.

Flinchbaugh taught in the agriculture department of Kansas State University for five decades and was the ag economist to many Presidents throughout the years.

He was a renowned speaker, writer, and has been consulted on every Farm Bill since 1968.

However, he said he was most proud of the more than 5,000 students he taught over the years.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Cathy and the entire Flinchbaugh family.
