NASHVILLE, TENN. (RFD NEWS) — China is expanding its role in the sustainable jet fuel market.
Analysts tracking the move say that could create more demand for renewable feedstocks.
China’s sustainable jet fuel exports are growing this year as producers look to capture more overseas demand.
Customs data show bio-aviation kerosene exports were valued at nearly $217 million in July, up about 16 percent from January.
Much of that fuel is made from renewable feedstocks, including used cooking oil, growing China’s role in the global market for lower-carbon jet fuel.
