As the COVID-19 hits rural America, Congress has released a package to help fund health care in these rural communities. They are releasing a total of 50 billion dollars.
The portion of the fund for rural communities will go to 1,350 critical access hospitals, setting up emergency operation centers, and expanding tele-medicine. The virus’ outbreak has highlighted many issues facing rural communities, especially the problems in rural health care.
